Training Videos for Clinicians

Title: Nobody listens to me

Details: The initial complaint is an intolerance of anyone not listening to her, be it her boss or her clients (she’s a therapist herself). This is traced back to an experience as a young child in Serbia in which she was told by her grandmother to watch her younger cousin (referred to as “sister”). When the cousin doesn’t pay attention to M. and gets her hand caught in a door, the grandmother refuses to listen to her explanation and, instead, blames M.

Title: Hardheaded Woman 1

Details: This is a session in which our client struggles to free her unique sense of self from the critical judgment of her grandmother. At first there is a lack of clarity as to what is meant by “hardheaded”, and, at the session’s end, the definition of this word changes completely.

Title: Performance Anxiety

Details: In a live demo at a training, G chooses to process a future, feared event, viz., a fear of giving a presentation before an audience. This concern quickly morphs into anxiety of doing the demo in front of the other trainees. This becomes our target.

Title: Unfinished Business - Training live demonstration

Details: The “session” begins with a focus on T. having been unfairly fired from her job, with no opportunity for explanation or recourse. A spontaneous resource enters the process in the form of her mother and continues on to the discovery of an unfinished aspect of the memory, viz. not having the opportunity to use her voice.
